Lieutenant John Arthur Aldridge was a World War I flying ace credited with five aerial victories. He returned to the colours during World War II, joining the Air Training Corps.[1]
Aldridge joined the Royal Flying Corps in June 1917. He flew a Sopwith Dolphin for No. 19 Squadron from the spring 1918.[2]
He became Secretary at the Veterinary Laboratory near Woking and he was appointed as a Member of the Order of the British Empire for his work in the Civil Service.[1]
